Design Team Monday

Hello everyone and welcome to another Design Team Monday over at MrCricutCrazy. Today I used one of his newest releases entitled PeeWee. I used A Child's Year cricut cartridge. This has been my go-to cartridge lately. It has some great features and of course some of the cutest cuts. I used the card feature because I loved the dog bone border it added to the side. The card is cut at 6 1/2 inches. The girl and dog is cut at 4 inches. I added the background paper, which I punched with the scallop border punch. I also added cherry twine, a button, and some brown sugar twine, the twine can also be found on Tanner's site. Make sure you check out the other designers awesome projects for today!!

Have a great day :)

Christmas Tag Blog Hop

Hello everyone and welcome to the Christmas Tag Blog Hop! You should have arrived from Tanner's blog. If not, please start there and move on throughout the hop :) Today we are highlighting different ideas for tags you can use for your Christmas gifts. We're also using the Christmas, Christmas stamp set, which is sold out BUT if you leave a comment on Sherri's blog at the end of the hop, you will be entered to win this fantastic set! She has 1 extra stamp set and she so generously giving it away!! I hope you enjoy the hop and have a Very Merry Christmas!!

The tag that I created today was inspired by a card that Gale, the Happy Stamper made a couple of weeks ago. I decided to make a set of those cards for my mom to use as her Christmas cards for this year. I don't drink a ton of pop so I asked my 4th grade students if they could start collecting their pop tabs at home. Well, one student brought in an entire gallon baggie, plus 2 sandwich baggies FULL of tabs, so I needed to find a use for them and came up with this idea. This tag is a basic full size tag. I covered it in red card stock, then cut a piece of white card stock that measures 1 1/2 x 6 1/4 inches. I tore the sides, added the tab and black ribbon to created the "belt," cut Happy Holidays using the Christmas Cards seasonal cartridge, and stamped the To and From. I then added fibers and ribbon on the top of the tag.
I hope you enjoy my tag and the other beautiful tags the team has to share. You're next stop is Vicky.
Have a great day!!!

Hugs,
Heather

Design Team Monday

Hello everyone! Today I'm showcasing the new stamp set from Tanner entitled PeeWee. I love the images and the sentiments on this set! Please head on over to MrCricutCrazy to see all of his stamp sets including his 2 new releases, PeeWee and Friends, Friends. He's also doing an awesome giveaway. For every stamp set you buy, you are entered to win a Cricut Imagine. Look on his Facebook page, his YouTube channel, or his website for more information.
On to today's project. We can't forget our furry friends on Christmas so I decided to make a gift bag using Tags, Bags, Boxes, and More. It is on page 115 called giftbag, and is cut at 5 3/4 inches. I used a strip of patterned paper, an image from PeeWee, which was colored with Bic Mark-Its (Tiki Hut Tan), a tag from Tim Holtz alteration die, and a sentiment from the PeeWee set. This bag was a lot of fun to make! If you have any questions, please let me know.

Have a great day!

Christmas Card #1

Hello everyone! Today I've been working on Christmas cards so I decided to start a mini series on Christmas cards using the cricut and Mr.CricutCrazy's Christmas, Christmas stamp set. If you have not checked out Tanner's stamps, please head over to his blog. The stamps are made of the highest quality polymer and are so much fun to use.
For today's card, I used A Child's Year and the Elegant Edges cricut cartridge, an Ornamental Christmas paper stack from The Paper Studio, and the Christmas, Christmas stamp set. The card base measures 4 1/4 x 5 1/2, the background image (from Elegant Edges) is cut at 5 1/4 and the Santa image is cut at 3 1/2 inches. I used my iRock tool to adhere the jewels in the corners. The sentiment Dear Santa is stamped on a mini tag from the Tim Holtz Mini Tags and Tabs die.
I hope you are all enjoying this time of the season as much as I am. Thanks for stopping by.

Have a great day!!

Winter is "Snow" Much Fun Blog Hop

Welcome to another MrCricutCrazy blog hop! You should have arrived from Tanner's blog, if not, please start there to ensure you see everyone's wonderful projects! This time, we are using Tanner's Christmas, Christmas stamp set. I adore this set and have used it for multiple projects I'm working on for the holidays.
For today's card, I created a window scene. I used the snowman image that comes with the stamp set and the sentiment Winter is "snow" much fun! The card is a basic A2 size card measuring 4 1/4 x 5 1/2. The white card stock with the image measures 3x3, I used Tim Holtz Tumbled Glass distress ink around the edges in the "snow" of the image, then it is cut at 1 1/2 x 1 1/2 inch squares. The brown card stock measures 3 1/4 x 3 1/4 inches. The sill of the window measures 3 1/2 x 3/4, then I ran the sill through my distressed stripes cuttlebug folder. The blue background measures 4 x 5 1/4 and then I ran it through my sledding cuttlebug folder. I used some brown sugar twine, which can also be purchased through the MrCricutCrazy website. It was a fun card to make, and I love the way it turned out.
Make sure you continue on with the hop over on Vicky's blog! Everyone has wonderful projects, if you comment on everyone's blog, you'll be entered to win one of Tanner's latest stamp sets entitled Friends, Friends!
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
Hugs,
Heather

Design Team Monday!

Hello everyone and welcome to another Design Team Monday :) Today we were challenged to use the Sumer Time Fun stamp set. I say challenge because it is starting to get really cold here in Nebraska and I'm not really feeling in the summer mood haha. I decided to go outside the box and use one of the sentiments with a winter cut. I used the penguin from the Simply Charmed cartridge, he is cut out at 4 inches. The card is cut at 4 1/4 x 5 1/2, the snowflake paper is cut at
4 x 5 1/4. I cute another strip of the cream cardstock and used my EKSuccess treading water punch. I added just a little bit of Stickles for a little glittered touch. I hope you enjoy this card and check out all of the other design team member's postings for today.

Have a great day!!

Altered Project

Hello everyone and Happy Halloween! Today I have an altered project for you. I recently visited my local Dollar Tree and found these cute wooden shelves (that is what they called them but I would consider them more of a frame). I love everyone's configuration boxes they alter but they have always been a little intimidating to me so I thought I would give one of these a try first. I had so much fun creating/altering this! I can't wait to go and buy some more. I used Fancy Pants October 31 paper line, doodlebug mini gems, recollections mulberry paper flowers and brads, a paper flower I made, and finally Pink By Design's Guess Who stamp set.
I hope you and your family have a Happy and Safe Halloween.
Have a Spooky Day :)

Hugs,
Heather

Mother Goose Blog Hop!

Goose Blog Hop! You should have come from Janis's blog. If you just happened to start here at my blog, please go to the beginning starting with The Queen. This is an amazing hop with some wonderful projects that should bring back many memories from your childhood days of reading the famous Mother Goose Rhymes!
I had so much fun creating a scrapbook layout today. Our pumpkin patch in town has a wonderful Storybook Farm for younger children to explore. As soon as I saw the Little Old Lady Who Lived in a Shoe, I knew right away which nursery rhyme I was going to represent. I used an image found online using google search, a 12x12 piece of paper from the DCWV stack Mom's Kitchen stack, 2 photo mats measuring 4 1/2 x 6 1/2, a journaling lines stamp, and some rhinestones using the iRock tool. I have also included the pictures that I will be adding to my layout below :) My son had so much fun exploring the farm! Below, you will also find the rules for the amazing blog candy the Queen is offering! I hope you enjoy the hop.
Your next stop is Liz.

Got Candy?

Hello everyone! Today I used the Mini Monsters cartridge to create a cute Halloween Card. I also used Tanner's Halloween Town stamp set, which you can find at http://www.mrcricutcrazy.com. I also made a video to go along with today's post! Can you believe it?!?! With the craziness of the start of the school year, I just haven't had much time for making videos. I am back in the swing of things now so I'm looking forward to spending more time in my craft studio!
I also have some exciting news to share, we will have a new addition to the family in April! Going through my first trimester, is another reason I haven't really felt like being in my craft studio. We find out if it's a boy or a girl in November so look for that update next month :)
I hope you enjoy this card and I'll see you next time :) Have a great day!

Hugs,
Heather
