your on the right track... if you just
happen onto My blog,
you really want to start at the beginning...

Today, I altered a picture frame using The Pet Stack by DCWV. I started with a wooden frame I picked up at Wal-Mart. I painted the frame Chocolate Brown by Craft Smart acrylic paint (from Michaels), then I used Mod Podge to adhere the paper to the front of the frame. For the inside, I used a coordinating piece of paper from the paper stack. For the sentiment, I used the Haley stamp set. I just love the sentiments in this set! It was hard to choose just 1 to put on the frame, so I also made a card using the same paper stack. The dog came from the Create a Critter cartridge, cut at 3 inches, the martini can be found in the From My Kitchen cartridge, cut at 2 1/2 inches. I also used some twine, which can also be purchase on Tanner's blog.

I hope you enjoy these projects and please stop by the other's blogs to see their fabulous projects! If you have any questions about Tanner's products, please let me know, or contact Tanner, he is very helpful. Have a great day :)

Altered Frame

Hello :) Boy have things been busy in my craft spot. I swear a couple of times, I saw smoke coming from my Cricut haha! We are having a family reunion this weekend and I am making some centerpieces (look for previous postings for a pictures) and a banner (picture to come later). To break up the monotony, I decided to alter a picture frame. I won the Tim Holtz Sewing Room die from Brigitte (shoeprincess1 on youtube) and had yet to use it so I thought I'd pull it out. I used Carolanne's crackle paint technique using turquoise and a cherry red. I had fun altering the dress form using lace trim, flat-back pearls, and some Prima flowers. Creating this frame was tons of fun and I can't wait to make more.
Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you have a fabulous weekend.

Hugs,
Heather

Keep It Cool tag

Hi :) Today I thought I'd try making a tag. I used the cartridge Sweet Treats. I cut the tag out at 6 1/2 " and the ice cream cone at 4 1/2" (all images can be found on page 35). I added some glitter glue as the sprinkles, and some pink crinkle ribbon at the top of the tag. The sentiment came from the Summertime Fun stamp set from MrCricutCrazy
I had fun making this tag and look forward to making more in the near future.
Thanks for stopping by!!

Heather

Centerpiece

Hello everyone :) I hope you have had a great weekend.
I don't have a video today, but I do have a picture of what I've been working on. We are attending a family reunion this weekend, and I decided to volunteer to make some centerpiece. I once again used "Caleb's" flowers to create this flower pot. If you would like more details, please let me know and I'd be happy to make a video to show the flower pot in more detail. Thanks for stopping by. Have a great day.

Hugs,
Heather

Wow, it is how outside! What better way to spend the day, than to craft! Today I made a card using the Cricut Lite cartridge, Bloom. I recently picked up this cartridge from Walmart, and I'm so glad I did. I am loving this cartridge and all of its great images.
Enjoy!

DT Post- Tree-Mendous

Hello everyone. Happy 4th of July! I hope you're having a great day with your family and friends. Today I have a card using Mr. CricutCrazy's (aka Tanner) stamp set: Trees, Trees. I paper pieced this card using a wood grain paper, and green. Then I covered the top of the tree with various shades of green buttons. Then I used a heart button on the card just as a contrast and to show love to the recipient. I then used the sentiment You're Tree-mendous on the bottom using VersaMark ink and some clear embossing powder. The woodgrain, and the background paper came from the DCWV Stack 7. The card base (Stampin Ups crumb cake) measures 4 1/4 x 4 1/4. The background paper measures 4 x 4, and the paper with the sentiment on it, measures 4 x 1 1/4.
I used some khaki colored embroidery floss to wrap around behind the tree.
I tried filming a video for this card, but something happened to it in the transfer process so I just gave up. If you would like any more detail on the card, or would like a tutorial, please let contact me :)
Have a great day!!

Hugs,
Heather
