Color Fusers Blog Hop- July 2016- Part 2

Welcome to part 2 of the Color Fusers blog hop! Thank you for stopping by, today I have a gift idea for you! I create a card keeper portfolio which holds 4 cards and 4 envelopes. I learned this technique from Meg Loven, you can watch her video here.

For my portfolio, I used Whisper White card stock (100730), the Butterfly Thinlits Dies (137360), Rhinestone basic jewels (119246), Gorgeous Grunge Clear-Mount Stamp Set (130517), Cucumber Crush Ink Pad (138324), Flirty Flamingo Ink Pad (141397), and Peekaboo Peach Ink Pad (141398).

To create this card, I cut my layer, stamped random blotches using the splatter stamp from the set, then I used the butterfly thinlit to cut out the butterfly. I used my snail adhesive to adhere the butterfly's body to the card. I really enjoyed making this portfolio and I hope you give it a try.

If you want to purchase any of the materials used to create this project, please visit my Stampin Up website at heatherosborne.stampinup.net. Stampin Up is running a fantastic rewards program. For every $50 you spend in July, Stampin Up will email you a $5 coupon to use in August!

Thanks again for stopping by today and please follow the rest of the links to visit the rest of the demonstrators in the hop, located below the pictures of my project.

Hugs,
Heather

Color Fusers Blog Hop: July 2016-Part 1

I am pleased to welcome you to the Color Fusers blog hop. This is a fun hop that will showcase 3 Stampin Up colors; Flirt Flamingo, Peekaboo Peach, and Cucumber Crush. If you're interested in purchasing any of the products used for this card, please follow the link to my Stampin Up online store: http://www.stampinup.net/esuite/home/heatherosborne/.

For the card I've created today, I used a Hostess Stamp entitled Time of Year. This stamp is one that you can earn as a hostess or if you spend at least $150. For more details, please contact me and I'd be happy to give you more details greenscrapinmachine@gmail.com.

I actually got the idea for my card from a Stampin Up promo sheet they sent us while we were able to preorder at the start of the new catalog that just went live June 1st. My card base is a standard A2 card that measure 11x4 1/4 scored at 5 1/2 using the extra thick Whisper White cardstock. I used a sponge dauber, Peekaboo Peach, and  a circle from the circles framelits set to mask an area that I used to emboss the sentiment in gold embossing powder. I used Flirty Flamingo and one of the accent stamps from the set to add a couple of flowers to the card. Using Cucumber Crush, I stamped the birthday banner and fussy cut it out then popped it up using Stampin Up dimentionals for a little added texture to the card. Finally, to add a little bling, I used the Jewel Basic Rhinestones to add a center to a few of the flowers.

I hope you enjoyed this card as I had so much fun making it. A list of materials and their item numbers are listed below the card.
