Color Fusers Blog Hop: August Part 2

Hello everyone! Thanks for joining us for another Color Fusers blog hop! Once again, we're highlighting the colors: Cherry Cobbler, Smoky Slate, and Watermelon Wonder.

Today I've created a birthday card using the stamp set Fresh Fruit (141770). This was a very simple card to make. I know how busy our schedules can be, so easy cards are the way to go! I used the card base, Whisper White cardstock (100730) to stamp my flower image using Cherry Cobbler Ink (126966) and Watermelon Wonder Ink (138323). For the center of the flower and the sentiment I used Smoky Slate Ink (131179). To allow the sentiment to stand out more, I cut a 1 1/4 x 4 1/4 inch strip of  designer paper from the Regals Designer Series Paper Stack (138436).

I hope you enjoyed seeing this week's card. If you have any questions or you would like to purchase any of the supplies used to make this card, I'd love to earn your business! Please visit my website at http://www.stampinup.net/esuite/home/heatherosborne/.

Please make sure to visit the rest of the demonstrators in the hop as they have some wonderful projects that will be sure to provide some inspiration.

Have a great day!
Heather

Color Fusers Blog Hop: August Part 1

Hello everyone and welcome to the Color Fuse blog hop! This month, we are focusing on the colors Cherry Cobbler, Smoky Slate, and Watermelon Wonder. These are beautiful colors alone, but together, they are gorgeous.
I love Pinterest, don't you? I got my inspiration from a picture I found on Pinterest.
For my card today, I used the stamp set entitled Grateful Bunch (item numbers and a link to my Stampin Up store can be found below the pictures). I stamped the largest flower in Cherry Cobbler and Watermelon Wonder on my A2 size card (4 1/4 x 5 1/2). I then used a piece of vellum paper, cut at 4 x 5 1/4, as an overlay. On top of the vellum, I cut a strip of Smoky Slate card stock at 1 1/2 x 4 and stamped the stitched leaves, in the same color. I then stamped a single flower in Watermelon Wonder and used my scissors to fussy cut it, then I placed a dimensional on the flower and placed it on the Smoky Slate piece. The Smoky Slate strip acts as a cover for my adhesive, that is how I attached the vellum paper to the card, by placing my snail under the strip. I then stamped the sentiment and placed it along the strip.
I hope you enjoyed my card today! If you have any questions, or would like to purchase any of the materials used, please visit my Stampin Up site here. Again, the item numbers are listed under the pictures :)
Please visit the rest of the talented demonstrators involved in the hop and gather some more inspiration using these gorgeous colors.
